Private instruction is very useful for individuals who want to:
1. Develop a home yoga practice
2. Learn to adapt group class postures to serve their individual needs
3. Address special health concerns or injuries
4. Organize a small group of friends or colleagues to regularly practice together
After an initial consultation, I will devise personal yoga sessions tailored to your needs. Whether you are recovering from an injury, want help investigating specific poses, are a stay at home parent looking for some quality "me" time, or simply enjoy the personal attention of private sessions, House of Yoga can assist you. Private sessions are designed to suit your needs and abilities. All sessions can include some or all of the following: guided pranayama (breath work) at the beginning of the session to help quiet your mind, a warm up, a sequence of specific asanas (poses) addressing your interest or concern, and a cool down sequence followed by a rest period (savasana). Regardless of your personal motivation for private yoga, awareness of the breath is a unifying force throughout your practice. Chanting may also be included if so desired.
All levels of experience are truly welcome as yoga is beneficial for everyone regardless of age, health, circumstances of life, or religion. I enjoy teaching brand new beginners as well as more experienced practitioners. Please contact me for details.
